IT Recruitment 2022, TCS And Infosys To Hire Over 90,000 Freshers

The job loss rate of Infosys has reportedly increased from 25.5 per cent to 27.7 per cent in March 2022. Infosys Chief Financial Officer Nilanjan Roy has stated that there is a decrease of about 5 per cent in both the attrition percentage and the total heads for the quarter.

According to reports, Infosys and TCS did campus hiring of 61,000 people in FY 2021 in terms of hiring freshers. TCS and Infosys hired 1,00,000 and 85,000 freshers respectively in the financial year 2022.

Moreover, Infosys is reportedly planning to hire more than 50,000 more freshers in FY 2023. At the same time, TCS is planning to recruit more than 40,000 people.

“We hired 85,000 freshers across India and globally in the last financial year and  this year we are planning to hire at least 50,000 freshers”, said Nilanjan Roy.

Tata Consultancy Services, on the other hand, has said that the pace of hiring will remain the same as in the last financial year. TCS Chief Operating Officer NG Subramaniam said that the company is planning to recruit 40,000 people this year and if needed, more people will also be recruited.

Work from home will continue

Tata Consultancy Services is adopting the 25X25 model that aims to bring people back to the office and gradually convert to a hybrid work model. Under this 25X25 model, 25 percent of the employees of the company will need to work from the office by 2025. That is, work from home will continue. The company’s employees will have to spend only 25 percent of their time in the office if they have to go to the office through the hybrid mode.

Many companies in India and abroad are exploring this hybrid work culture model in which employees of the company will need to work from office only for a few days in the week and from home on others.

HCL will reportedly continue to operate in the hybrid mode as it keeps the safety and well-being of the employees as it’s top priority. IT company Infosys, on the other hand, has said that back offices will be opened in a planned manner. However, here also work will be conducted in hybrid mode.
